When I think of Miami, these words come to mind: bright, bold, and beautiful! It’s the same when it comes to Miami fashion: the more colorful, the more daring, the better!

This year, my husband and I went to his high school reunion. While we were there, he spent some time to play golf with his high school friends. Meanwhile, I scheduled a photo session and mini tour of the city with Kate Oakley of Adorned Photography. We started early because a summer day in Miami is hooooot!

I started the day off wearing this floral romper. The pink accent floral colors reminded me of flamingos, so it was only appropriate I wore this in Miami! When we ate at Dreamer Coffee and Juice Bar, it was such a perfect match against the flamingo wallpaper (more about Dreamer on another blog post)! There was no need to sacrifice style over comfort as this adorable romper provided both!

Cotton dress for the summer? Yes please! This dress was as perfect for this weather as a tall, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade for a summer day! With the dress being 100% cotton, it was comfortable to wear in a hot and humid location like Florida. Cotton is a breathable fabric, which means it doesn’t trap the heat and escapes the body while allowing moisture to be absorbed and cooling off the body. Shoulder straps, fitted top, and a flowy bottom lend to the dynamic movement of this lovely outfit.

Inspired by the tropics, this beautiful romper was a must have (unfortunately this was so popular, it sold out! I provided a pretty alternative in the link above)! The patterns reminded me of the luscious palm trees and live oaks native to the area. Of course, it was only appropriate I paired this romper with the pineapple purse to top it all off!

Miami style calls for contemporary and sophistication. What better way to address both by wearing a colorful and chic jumpsuit (I have another link for your consideration as this was sold out at Anthropologie)! Don’t you just love vibrant colors and bold patterns? This can be worn to visit the many art galleries and museums or upscale restaurants. Dress it up with heels and a clutch or wear it casually with sandals and a cross body bag – you can’t go wrong with a statement outfit!

Reminiscent of the beautiful blue tropical waters and the consistent sunshine year-round, this gorgeous fit-and-flare blue and yellow dress is an excellent choice! If you are in town for business, you can wear this dress with a short black, lightweight blazer. If you are in town for fun, pair it with sandals or wedges or even wear a cute white blouse over the top and disguise it as a skirt!

As you can see, Miami is anything but boring! The clothing here can be varied, as many have diverse taste when it comes to style. You’ll find some choose to be in denim shorts and a graphic tee while others put on high-end wear with the dress-to-impress brands! Either one, Miami embraces all styles and trends! Just remember to live life colorfully, be comfortable, and be your own unique brand!
